Hollyoaks Community College janitor Matt was known for his on-off relationship with radio DJ Chloe Bruce and the pair almost ended up getting married.

However, Kristian left the show after his character was dumped for good by his on-screen girlfriend.

Kristian leaves behind a young son called Jake. His cause of death is currently unknown.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Kristian's former Brookside co-star Suzanne Collins said: "He was brilliant to work with, he was loads of fun.

"He was a fantastic actor, but you should have heard him sing. Musically he was so good, he loved to sing and play the guitar."

More recently, Kristian performed in the Liverpool based band Tramp Attack.
