Sophie, who was one of the original Geordie cast, has been busy chatting to MTV about Marnie and her recent announcement about women ahead of her comeback.
In an exclusive interview, she admitted that, although she didn't know officially that Marnie fancied girls as well as boys, the revelation came as no great surprise to her.
Sophie said: "She [Marnie] didn't really say anything to us, but I knew she was always into girls, and it's a hard thing to come out."
To celebrate the five year anniversary of Geordie Shore, Sophie and some of her original cast mates have reunited to film a special series called Geordie Shore: Big Birthday Battle for MTV.
The reality star originally joined the series in 2011 before she was axed in 2013 for alleged offensive behaviour, and she will now join stars old a new for the shows.
Before Sophie's departure, Marnie had joined the show but their relationship was beginning to turn sour.
However, in her interview with MTV, Sophie admits: "Last time we did a show together, it wasn't really that good. There was a bit of tension between us, it was hard."
The girls now hit the gym together in their spare time and are always on the blower to one another, so fingers crossed all is well these days!
Meanwhile, tonight see the finale episode of the current series of Geordie Shore and, in a sneak peek, it seems Marnie and Aaron Chalmers finally go on their first date together!
Geordie Shore: Big Birthday Battle, 10pm, MTV, Tuesday 10 May
