In an interview with Daily Star, the actress stayed tight-lipped on her character's return storyline, but teased it would "shock" everyone. We are SO intrigued!
"It is a dramatic return. It's not your average EastEnders thing where people are screaming and shouting but it will shock people," she said.
Come on! We need more details!
We last saw Lauren Branning on screen as a show regular in February last year, when, then-pregnant, she left Walford to start a new life with Peter Beale in New Zealand, although the character briefly returned for her father's murder trial that September - and to give birth to son Louie.
"They wanted me to go back full-time when we were filming the trial but I didn't feel like I'd had long enough away," she said.
Jacqueline and fiance Dan Osborne welcomed their daughter Ella Selina on 15 February.
While Jacqueline is back at the EastEnders set, she says ex-TOWIE star Dan will take over caring for Ella, bringing the one-year-old to the BBC studios whenever he can so Jacqueline can see her.
"Going back to the show and leaving Ella behind will be tough," she admitted. "I can't go from seeing her every day to nothing, but I'm going to try to make it work. Dan will come to my work with her. And if I've got time I'll try to go back home to spend time with her."
