Holly Hagan has admitted she doesn't really enjoy filming Geordie Shore as much anymore, compared to back when the MTV series started.

The reality star-turned-businesswoman told Scott Mills on today's BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show that when castmembers started leaving, it changed the dynamics of the show for her.

Holly spoke about that when asked about the upcoming Geordie Shore: Big Birthday Battle, which celebrates the programme's five-year anniversary.

"That was the best thing ever," said Holly. "It was our five-year birthday so everyone came back and we just had one big, massive party. I don't really enjoy doing the show that much anymore but for me, it was absolutely amazing. It just felt like Geordie Shore again."

When pressed on why she didn't enjoy it as much, Holly explained: "It's just because, obviously, I have been there from the very beginning. When a lot of people leave and it starts to not feel like Geordie Shore, you feel a bit down about it. But when everyone came back, you felt like a proper family and it was nice."

The first series of Geordie Shore aired on MTV in summer 2011, with original stars Holly, Charlotte Crosby, Gaz Beadle, Greg Lake, James Tindale, Jay Gardner, Sophie Kasaei and Vicky Pattison.

Only Holly, Charlotte and Gaz are still part of the initial cast, but other names have joined since including Scotty T, Marnie Simpson, Chloe Ferry and Aaron Chalmers.

Geordie Shore continues tonight at 10pm on MTV. Geordie Shore: Big Birthday Battle airs Tuesday 10 May at 10pm on MTV.
