Danniella will be briefly reprising her role as feisty Sam Mitchell in the BBC One soap to tie in with Peggy Mitchell's exit storyline.
Speaking on ITV's Good Morning Britain, Danniella said: "I'm super excited to go back. I'm super excited to have the boys back together. Ross and Steve, and obviously Barbara, The four of us back together, the original Mitchells."
Daniella, who first appeared in the soap in 1990, said she was lucky to be offered the chance to return following her stint in Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year.
"I went into Big Brother this year really to prove to people that I'm employable and that I'm okay," she said. "I came out the other side after 32 days of reality TV and back into the BBC, so I couldn't be happier."
But, what happens next?
Danniella admits that she'd like to stay on at the soap permanently, while also revealing that she wants her fellow CBB housemate to join the too.
She told Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid: "I'd love to come back full time. I'd like Darren Day to come in as my husband! That's what I'd like. I think he's a fabulous actor and I would love to see him in EastEnders. I think he'd fit right in."
