Pop star and actress Selena will make the series as part of Lifetime's newly announced 'Fempire', which will see TV shows and films focused on female empowerment.
Selena, 23, will executive produce alongside her mother Mandy Teefey and American actor and director Kevin Spacey.
The show is said to focus on Selena's friends and 'trusted inner circle', which famously includes Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato.
At the moment, no premiere date or casting details have been announced.
Selena isn't the only famous face working on her own production. Tennis champion Selena Williams will produce scripted film Sister Dance on the same network, which will be about an annual dance competition she hosts with her older sister Venus.
