Having starred on Geordie Shore for five series, Ricci has experienced Charlotte and Gary's relationship firsthand and the complications that have come with it over the years. In recent months, though, the pair had sparked hopes they were finally going to make things official between them.
However, a recent Twitter fallout appeared to ruin any chances of that - especially as Charlotte claimed Gary is now filming for Ex On The Beach's new series. Sharing his thoughts on the duo, Ricci insists they can't keep going round in circles.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, he said: "They are both my friends and I wish them well, but they've been more off and on than a light switch and it's been five years.
"There needs to come a time - they've been off and they've been on for five years and now they are getting to an age where they should give it a full go or leave it."
Ricci added: "I was speaking to Charlotte the other night, she was upset about Gaz going back in Ex On The Beach. I was like, 'Look if you're meant to be together you will be.'"
MTV have made no comment about Gaz and Ex On The Beach.
After filming for Geordie Shore's five year special (that Ricci will actually return to our screens for) back in January, Charlotte revealed she and Gary were finally honest with each other about how they felt.
Following filming, the pair had gushed "everything was different between them." Fans noticed Gary had seemed a lot more into Charlotte and he had been keen to commit to Charlotte.
She, meanwhile, expressed she still has reservations about dating him. Charlotte claimed she still doesn't trust Gary thanks to their relationship history and those concerns were cemented when a rumour surfaced suggesting Gary had asked another girl back to his hotel room while linked to Char.
Gary strongly denied the rumours and explained the situation had been misconstrued on Snapchat. A whole host of people had been invited back - not just the girl in question.
Charlotte, meanwhile, didn't agree with Gary airing their issues so publicly on social media and took to Twitter to explain why she has trust issues with her co-star.
Since then, it had appeared that Charlotte and Gary had made up - after they were seen kissing in bed together. However, we caught up with the 25-year-old recently and she explained "everybody had jumped to conclusions."
Charlotte told us: "We had that bit of a fallout [on Twitter], but we weren't together then either. We then spent some time together when we had to film the advert [for Geordie Shore] and we had to film it in an actual bed. Everyone jumped to conclusions."
She has since insisted her romance with Gary is "off at the minute." She claimed she and Gaz are "really good friends" and she is "single."
Clearing up any confusion over her relationship status, Charlotte also tweeted earlier today: "I would like to stop the confusion, I'm single, I have been for a year. Mrs SINGLE Crosby being all single and stuff."
