Many had speculated that Marnie and Ricky could potentially front the new series of MTV's dating show. Ex On The Beach always seems to have a Geordie Shore favourite in its lineup (Vicky, Charlotte, Gary and Scotty T have all done it) and Marnie did have a link to the show after dating Jordan Davies.
However, while she admits she would love to do it, Marnie has revealed she is now having second thoughts.
Opening up to Star magazine recently, the 23-year-old explained she had come face-to-face with former TOWIE star Ricky and it had been "pretty awkward."
Marnie and Ricky enjoyed a whirlwind romance last year, that saw him propose on Geordie Shore's eleventh series. At the time, Marnie had quit the show to focus on their relationship, but confirmed their split just a few months later.
She revealed: "I wanted to do [Ex On The Beach], but I went to a party recently and Ricky was there and I got a really strange, unusual feeling... I felt uncomfortable. That put me off because I think I'd find [the show] harder than I imagined."
Instead, it seems Gary will be repping the Geordie lot on series five. Ex On The Beach had teased a series filled with stars from the past, and Charlotte Crosby appeared to confirm Gary's appearance on Twitter during a fallout between the co-stars.
MTV, however, had no comment to make. It's rumoured Gary is currently overseas in Thailand and will come face-to-face with his ex-girlfriend Lillie Lexie Gregg.
They split after over a year of dating and Geordie Shore fans have recently learnt, that Gary's break up with Lillie could have been fuelled by his feelings for Charlotte. In the current series of the show, Gaz has been growing closer to Charlotte and a teaser video shows the reality star leaving the house, after appearing to kiss her.
