Taking to Twitter, Kelly revealed she and her husband Brandon Blackstock welcomed their new addition earlier this week on 12 April.

Kelly addressed her 10.8 million Twitter followers earlier today and tweeted: "Our little baby boy has arrived!! Remington Alexander Blackstock was born 4/12/16."

She added: "He is healthy & we couldn't be happier or more in love!"

Remington is Kelly and Brandon's second child, as they are already parents to daughter River Rose, one. The 'Heartbeat Song' singer first announced she was expecting again back in August last year during one of her concerts in LA.

She had come over all emotional while performing one of her songs and decided to tell the crowd, it was because she was pregnant.

Kelly said: "I wasn't planning on announcing… totally pregnant! I would like to apologise to my husband. That was not planned. I just didn't want you to think I was crazy or something. Honestly I'm so hormonal today. Nothing's wrong, everything's great. I haven't vomited yet. That's a win, y'all!"

Kelly later revealed that she and Brandon (who married back in 2013) were expecting a baby boy on social media. She had said: "In other news, River's gonna have a little baby brother :) #itsaboy We're so excited!"

The 33-year-old also opened up about her difficult pregnancy this time round, as she suffered from all-day sickness.

During an interview on CBS' This Morning in the States, she said: "I'm familiar with all-day sickness. I have to get IVs and fluids because I get so dehydrated. It's really bad."

We imagine it has all been worth it now, though! Kelly is yet to share a picture of her newborn, but fingers crossed she treats us to a baby snap soon.
