It's the TV return we're all waiting to see, and after teasing his script last week, Ross is now back on set filming scenes for his character's return to Walford to air next month.
Taking to Twitter, Ross said: "Great seeing old friends today. Massive thanks to all the cast and everyone in production, many of whom I haven't seen for 10 years."
Has it really been that long?
He added: "Long but great day at @bbceastenders today. Grant's back!"
In fact, Ross has been keeping fans updated with his return to the soap, telling us all that he's gone back to working at very early hours of the morning.
"Back to learning my lines," he tweeted. "Walford wakes early...5am! Night all #EastEnders @bbceastenders."
Last month, Ross admitted that he was "wetting" himself at the thought of returning to the soap.
Talking about his pre-nerves, Ross told Radio Times: "I'm panicking about everything. About whether I've lost the ability to learn all the lines. About whether I can cope with it at all…I worry about letting people down, letting myself down. That's my biggest fear. It's going to be like going back to sixth form."
Ross' return to the soap as Grant ties in with Peggy Mitchell's exit storyline as she will lose her battle with cancer.
Ross originally left EastEnders in1999 after playing his character for nine years. He returned for a year in 2005.
