The actor, who has been at the centre of many major storylines as rebellious David Platt, announced to fans that he was celebrating yet another year on the primetime ITV soap.
He tweeted on Sunday (3 April): "16 years yesterday, I started Corrie. Have a good Sunday kids!!!!!!" alongside four beer can emojis.
Fans began to congratulate the actor while praising him for his "brilliant" and "awesome" portrayal as David.
One fan said: "Your serious acting plus comic timing is second to none. Cracking actor from day one. We love your scenes!"
Another added: "And it wouldn't be the same without David Platt."
Jack made his on screen debut as David in April 2000, taking over from Thomas Ormson.
Trouble is never too far away where David is concerned. The son of Martin and Gail Platt, viewers have watched David's rebellious, troublesome and sometimes sadistic streak ruin the lives of Weatherfield residents, even if his mother Gail often refuses to see the trouble he causes.
However, David showed maturity by taking on parental responsibility where Kylie's son Max was concerned, as well as being a father to his daughter Lily.
Soap acting aside, Jack also stars in a trailer for a new short film, Taubman.
Taubman, which is written and directed by Ben Price - who plays Nick Tilsley in the soap - also stars former Corrie star Ian Puleston-Davies, who played Owen Armstrong.
