In Karren's column for The Sun on Sunday, which led on Cameron Diaz's no make-up selfie and how being happy in your own skin beats cosmetic surgery, she also commented on recent pictures of Frankie on holiday.
Karren write: "Looking at this photo of TOWIE's Frankie Essex in Cyprus, all I could think of asking her was... what's the point of spending £50 on a bikini when £49 of it is stuck up your bottom?"
The photo captions with the article read: "TOWIE's Frankie Essex makes a feeble attempt to cover up on holiday" and "Perhaps Frankie needed a more flattering bikini."
Fans had notified Frankie of the comments and the reality star hit back: "Thank you I can't believe it, what a bitch! Nasty cow!"
Some fans then accused Karren of body shaming and being a hypocrite. One Twitter user said: "Find it so bizarre @karren_brady to have article on body shaming right next to pic of u body shaming @FrankieEssex. Her bikini fits fine!"
Frankie replied: "Oh my god bloody cheek! What a cow!!
Another fan said: "Really disappointing to see @karren_brady post that pic of @FrankieEssex who is happy in her skin next to that article #hypocrite."
Frankie then replied: "Talk about knocking my confidence even more."
Business ambassador Karren was tagged in tweets showing backlash from fans but she is yet to publicly respond.
