The couple seemed an unlikely pairing for many when their romance was outed back in February, but X Factor boss Simon has told The Sun they're a perfect match.
He said: "I saw them together and we had a really nice dinner. They were on good form. They're like two little chipmunks madly in love. Literally, they were so cute."
Chipmunks? We guess that's a compliment!
Simon said he'd met up with Chez and Liam in Los Angeles, where he's been working on the new series of America's Got Talent. "They both seemed very happy over here and very relaxed. I'm happy for them."
Neither Cheryl, 32, nor Liam, 22, has ever spoken in depth about their romance, but they haven't shied away from sharing cute images to social media since they got together.
Their latest was from the US in March, when Cheryl uploaded a photo of Liam juggling lots of Easter Eggs after they made a last minute dash to a British shop in LA.
It's rumoured Cheryl and Liam began dating at the end of last year, when they bumped into each other on the series finale of X Factor, following Cheryl's split from husband Jean-Bernard.
Recently, we spoke to Jodie Marsh, 37, about Cheryl and Liam's romance, asking what she felt about the age gap, considering she's just married a younger man, James Placido, 25.
"If rumours are to be believed, then he utterly adores her and I think that's exactly what she needs. It's time for her to put herself first, be with a man who worships her and have some fun," she said.
"When Cheryl was with JB she seemed to become too serious in every aspect of life. Maybe she wanted an image change, but not one that made her look old before her time. She needs to plait her hair, wear pink, skip through a summer field and get dirt on her face!
"I think she's spent too long worrying about how the world sees her. Liam could bring some much needed joy to her life. The beauty of Liam is that he's young, fit and fun but also sensible, mature and experienced.
"After all, he has travelled the world with the planet's biggest boyband so there's nothing he doesn't know or hasn't seen to do with fame. He understands the world of showbiz as much as Cheryl and could support her with anything that arises, good or bad. I say go for it – plus, he's probably the nicest bloke Cheryl has ever been out with!"
