Little Mix have axed two concerts in Northern Ireland today after singer Jesy Nelson fell ill.

Poor Jesy!

Little Mix at the Brit Awards Show at the 02 Arena in London - 24 February 2016.

The girlband - who found fame on X Factor - had been due to play a matinee and evening show at Belfast's SSE Arena on Thursday (31 March) but cancelled the gigs last-minute due to Jesy's health.

A statement to Belfast Telegraph by promoter Aiken said: "We regret to announce that both Little Mix shows at the SSE Arena will not take place today due to Jesy being unwell and not able to perform. Please hold on to your tickets - we hope to be able to make a further announcement on possible rescheduling later today."

The group's publicist Simon Jones added on Twitter: "Little Mix have unfortunately had to cancel both of their arena shows in Belfast today. Sadly Jesy is unwell and unable to sing, and as a result both the matinee and evening shows are cancelled. Little Mix would like to apologise to their fans. Ticket holders should hold on to their tickets and await further news.

There's been no word from the Little Mix girls themselves yet, with no comment on Twitter about the shows. They haven't tweeted since three hours before the statement, when they retweeted fans waiting to enter the arena.

Jesy's name began trending on Twitter after news of the axed shows got out. While some expressed disappointed at not being able to see the girls, many fans sent her well wishes and hoping she feels better soon.

Others joked that Belfast must be cursed as One Direction also cancelled a concert there last-minute in October when Liam Payne fell ill.

Little Mix are currently on their 'Get Weird Tour' in support of their third studio album which contains hit track 'Black Magic'.

The next scheduled date is 2 April in Sheffield.
