Taking to Twitter last night, Aaron had vented his frustrations when it comes to girls by tweeting: "The chances of finding a decent girl these days is literally slim to none!! Dirty ar*es everywhere or materialistic c***s !! #justsaying."

His tweet caused quite the stir with his followers. Some agreed with Aarron, others hit out at the reality star for 'classing all girls the same' and there were a slew of fans who had speculated he was talking about his co-star Chantelle.

Aaron had set his sights on Chantelle when she first arrived in the Geordie Shore house. The pair even had each other's name tattooed onto their wrists, but Chantelle later picked Scotty T over Aaron.

He, however, made sure to set the record straight and insisted he wasn't talking about her in his tweet. One fan had commented: "Wow dig at @ChantelleGShore." Aaron replied: "Defo not she's me mate."

Chantelle re-tweeted his reply and commented: "Cheers Aaron ppl just like to jump the gun (sic)."

So who was his tweet directed at, then?

Aaron's cryptic post comes after he fuelled rumours his romance with Marnie Simpson is back on again.

Known for their on/off relationship, things had been pretty tense between Aaron and Marnie in recent weeks, leading Aaron to claim their romance was "f**king dead in the water."

They had rekindled things while filming for Geordie Shore's five year special, but while Aaron was keen to continue their relationship outside of the house, Marnie had other ideas.

He revealed he had planned to spend Valentine's Day with Marnie, but she had already made plans with Ibiza Weekender star Jordan Davies.

However, Aaron was spotted gushing about Marnie recently on Twitter. He told fans she will "always be his missus" and Marnie tweeted she would "100000%" get Aaron's name tattooed on her if he was to get hers.

Hopes of a reunion were short-lived, though, as Marnie was later seen telling Jordan she had been missing him...
