The former Emmerdale actress and Strictly Come Dancing star decided she wanted to lose weight after her father was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.
In a new interview, Lisa has said she hasn't tried any extreme diets, but has just changed her lifestyle - which includes cutting out alcohol and doing regular exercise, including walking, zumba and yoga.
Lisa told Bella magazine: "It's been about awareness and lifestyle. I'm loads more active than I used to be. I've not drunk alcohol for a long time now. I pat myself on the back every day that not one drop of alcohol has passed my lips and I don't think it ever will again."
Lisa, who has her own clothing range called Just Be You, showed off her slimmer figure during a recent holiday to Singapore, where she told fans that she was "flying high on life!!!"
Best known for playing Mandy Dingle on Emmerdale, Lisa actually started to see changing effects on her body after participating in gruelling dance rehearsals for Strictly in 2012 of around six to seven hours a day.
She told Reveal at the time: "It's an excuse to get a new wardrobe which is lovely. I don't know in stone but I'm 20 on top and even less on my bottom now. My leggings kept falling down during rehearsals!"
