TOWIE's Megan McKenna has said it's unfair to suggest she's "changed" boyfriend Pete Wicks.

There's been tension between Megan and some of the Essex bunch ever since she joined the show earlier this series, and in a new interview with the TOWIE official website she's admitted that she's baffled about what's gone wrong, particularly when it comes to Pete's pals Tommy Mallet and Dan Edgar.

Megan said: "I've heard that maybe Tommy and Dan have a problem with me. I don't really know why and I'm a bit confused. I do think it's a bit unfair that they're saying Pete has changed when he really hasn't.

"I haven't made Pete change. He's just found a girl who he gets on with and I really get on with him. I don't see where the problem is there."

Megan added: "I think a lot of the boys feel they don't really know me that much because I haven't really been hanging out with the whole group but because I've heard things and they're saying Pete has changed because of me, that's not really welcoming, so maybe if they were a bit more welcoming then I'd feel like I want to hang out with them a bit more."

She's not the only one confused at what has happened... Pete is also not sure what's gone wrong.

Meanwhile, on last night's episode, Lockie approached Tommy to urge him to clear the air with Pete and try to find out why Tommy had angst with Megan.

Tommy said he didn't owe anybody an apology and all he was doing was standing up for girlfriend Georgia Kousoulou, who had drama with Megan's best friends Courtney Green and Chloe Meadows earlier this series.

"If Georgia and Danielle have got agg with Chloe and Courtney and their friend comes along, I'm not going to talk to her and I'm not going to make it easy for them and shake hands with them and sit at the same table as them," he said.

"I'm one team and that's defending Danielle and Georgia. Everyone else who has been on the scene for five minutes can f**k off. It was in my head anyway that I need to talk to Pete, but I don't need to say sorry to her because I stand by what I've done."

TOWIE continues Wednesday at 10pm on ITVBe.
