Will Pam St. Clement reprise her role as Pat Butcher in EastEnders?

We all know that Pat got killed off, but according to The Sun, the iconic character will 'come back from the dead' to tie in with Peggy Mitchell's exit storyline.

Is Pam reprising her role as Pat?

Barbara Windsor returns to EastEnders as Peggy Mitchell.
15 January 2016.

Peggy will lose her battle with cancer in May.

Unlike Kathy Beale being resurrected from the dead, it looks like Pat will resurface as a hallucination during Peggy's final scenes, which will see her lose her battle with cancer.

A rep for the soap said: "We have lots of special treats in store for Peggy's final episodes but we are not going to confirm anything as we don't want to spoil the surprise for the viewers."

If the rumours are true, then it will be welcome news for fans, who have watched Pat and Peggy's friendship - and fallout - play out on the soap.

Pam left EastEnders in 2012 after 25 years on the soap. But Pat and Peggy had many memorable scenes, especially when Frank Butcher was concerned! One of our favourite scenes of Pat and Peggy were them getting drunk in an ice cream van!

We already know that Ross Kemp is reprising his role as Grant Mitchell for Peggy's exit, and Danniella Westbrook will also return as Sam Mitchell.

It was announced in January that Barbara Windsor would be reprising her iconic role as Peggy for one final time and bow out of Walford forever in scenes to transmit in May.

Executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins teased in February: "It's gonna be epic. It's got to be epic! Everyone's got such high expectations for it."
