The former Shipwrecked star took to Twitter on Tuesday, 22 March to explain how life had changed since Big Brother star Jade passed away at the age of 27 following a battle with cervical cancer.
Jeff and Jade, who had split before her death, had two sons: Bobby, now 12, and Freddie, 11.
In an emotional message to Twitter yesterday, Jeff, 36, wrote: "This day 7 years ago I was worried, upset & fearful for our future. Today I'm respectful, humbled & grateful to be responsible for our boys. I'm grateful to those who support & encourage myself & the boys.
"We're doing well so far & I thank you for being a part of that. #TeamBobFred."
Jeff has spoken in the past about how he keeps Jade's memory strong with the boys, saying they celebrated Mummy's Day every month, usually on the 15th.
"We can talk about her obviously at any time and we do, but the 15th of the month means we are particularly focused on it," he explained.
"We will release balloons or we'll write letters and post them, whether they think they are going to get there or not it doesn't matter, it's expressing," he continued. "It's writing those memories down, those thoughts and those feelings and even if it's sad and something that you perceive as being negative, it's not hurting them.
"It's hurting them more not to talk about it, than it is to actually put it down on paper and do something with it."
Jeff recently spoke to Reveal magazine about how he's moved with the boys from Essex to Hove in East Sussex, to be closer to girlfriend Kate Dwyer, 26.
He told us he couldn't be more proud of how his sons have been growing up. "They are learning all the things they need to grow into well-mannered young men," he added. "They even make their own beds. I want them to be independent and know how to cook."
