His publicist said: "One of our most beloved entertainers, Paul Daniels, has passed away at the age of 77.

"The TV star, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour earlier this year, passed away peacefully at home with Debbie at his side in the early hours of this morning. Debbie and the family would like to thank everyone for their support and asks that their privacy be respected at this sad time."

Paul's diagnosis was initially announced in a statement last month (20 February) from his family.

Paul fronted BBC's Paul Daniels Magic Show for 15 years. His wife Debbie McGee performed as an assistant alongside him and they married in 1988.

Together they've appeared on Channel 5's agricultural reality show The Farm, and Channel 4's Wife Swap

Paul also appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2010 where he partnered with dancer Ola Jordan.
