He teased his new track in a 28 second audio preview on YouTube. The song features Swedish vocalist, Laleh, who actually co-wrote Demi Lovato's current single 'Stone Cold'.

"I wanted to surprise my fans with a new, uplifting anthem for the spring," Adam said. "I feel this song will give people strength to be exactly who they are."

Adam will perform his brand new single 'Welcome To The Show' on American Idol on Thursday.

Adam, 34, rose to fame in 2009 after finishing as runner-up on the eighth series of American Idol, and sadly, the long-running US talent show will end for good this year following a 13-year run.

Adam will be hitting the UK in April for his 'The Original High Tour' and he'll also be headlining the Isle of Wight Festival with Queen in June.

Having watched Adam perform live at last year's Fusion Festival in Birmingham, we reckon this is one fans won't want to miss!
