Yesterday, fans were sent into a frenzy as new pictures emerged of the couple stepping out together in London. Cheryl and One Direction star Liam appeared to confirm their romance by making their first public appearance as a couple and holding hands while heading out in the capital.
However, Chezza has now told fans she and Liam were NOT on a date.
Sharing the facts to her Twitter page, Cheryl tweeted: "Just an FYI ..I wasn't out last night for a "romantic dinner" I was out celebrating @Lily_England 30th birthday with everyone we love #facts."
Fans will have already known that as Cheryl took to Instagram earlier in the day to wish her close friend and assistant Lily England.
She shared a photo of Lily being presented with a cake, after gushing about her to her followers. Cheryl had said: "H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y!! @iamlil A special day for a very special person to me.. I am so proud of the woman you have become Lily. You are unique!! Without you I wouldn't be me you have been a consistent & constant person to for so many years and I am so excited to be celebrating this new era of your life with you!! I adore you and I hope you have the best day ever! Love you loads & loads! #LE30."
Cheryl and Liam had been joined by a whole host of friends to mark Lily's milestone, including the 'Crazy Stupid Love' singer's mum Joan.
While Cheryl's latest tweet dismissed rumours they were on a date, it didn't deny that she and Liam are now an item.
The pair have kept fans guessing over the last few weeks, but Liam seemed to confirm their relationship by dedicating an Instagram post to his "favourite woman" Cheryl on International Women's Day.
He had said: "Happy #internationalwomensday to my favourite woman in the world. Hope I make you as happy as u make me."
Reports suggest the pair have been dating since December, following Cheryl's split with her husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.
