So, does that mean there's an engagement on the horizon? Well, the pair did discuss the potential of Arg proposing to Lydia in the near future, and in doing so, The Jump star crushed all our dreams of seeing the big moment on screen during a TOWIE episode, explaining he'd promised his girlfriend the moment would be kept private. Sob.
Speaking about their relationship, a grinning Arg couldn't hide his happiness as he gave viewers an update on their relationship - which has been on and off for over seven years: "We're very much back together and we're happier than ever...I'm a lucky man," he gushed. "We've been through a lot together but I think it's fair to say we're happier than ever, aren't we?" Lydia agreed.
Arg was less forthcoming when questioned about whether he was planning to propose, leading Lydia to joke that she "went and bought my own ring," gesturing to a sparkler on her right hand.
Arg told the panel that he's waiting for the perfect moment to pop the question: "It needs to be the right time and place. I promised Lydia if we were ever to do it it would be nice and private, no cameras around, just a nice little intimate moment just us two."
Lydia added: "I've been waiting so long for this day to happen and it's not coming." Aww!
The blonde beauty has already admitted she's not sure whether she'll get engaged this year or not. Speaking ahead of the latest series she exclusively told Reveal: "There will be an engagement this year, whether it's me or not, I don't know, but there definitely will be. It could be anyone, couldn't it?"
She pointed out that there are plenty of loved-up couples who could be ready for marriage from Georgia Kousoulou and Tommy Mallet, to Dan Edgar and Kate Wright and Jake Hall and Chloe Lewis.
Whether it does happen on-screen or not, we know one person who is backing this pair to tie-the-knot is Lydia's mum Debbie Douglas, who spilled in a previous interview that pretty much everyone thinks Arg is the one for her daughter.
She said: "I remember telling Lydia years ago that whoever you marry, if you don't end up with James, that everyone will always think she hasn't married the right person. And I could just imagine him turning up at the church."
