Sinitta, who has been a regular fixture on X Factor working with contestants behind the scenes or helping Simon Cowell at Judges' Houses, talked about the talent shows' future on the channel.
"I don't think The Voice is competition for X Factor," she tells us. "I thought it was in the beginning when I first saw it. When I first watched it with Jessie J, Tom Jones and will.i.am I found it quite good."
Sinitta adds that despite the similarities, "The X Factor is all-singing, all-dancing and I think it's more entertaining".
The current fifth series of The Voice is the last to air on BBC One, as 2017 will see the show at its new home on ITV in a three-year deal, which includes a spin-off show on ITV2 and a two-series contract for The Voice Kids.
"Although contestants on The Voice have great voices, I don't see it as a threat to X Factor really," Sinitta continues. "I don't think they affect each other at all."
80s pop singer Sinitta, who is already eyeing up a role on X Factor's judging panel ahead of its return later this year, has lent her voice to the famous jingle for the McVitie's retro chocolate biscuit bar Trio.
Trio is making its return after 13 years and Sinitta is now on the lookout for a new voice!
The winner will receive £3,000 prize money, an all-expenses-paid recording day to lay down their version of the song, and their jingle played on Capital FM.
The competition opens at 1pm on 3 March 2016 and runs until 30 May 2016. It is open to all UK residents aged 18 or over. For Ts & Cs and more information on how to enter visit mcvities.co.uk/trio.
