Jacqueline Jossa has admitted she'd "get bored" if her EastEnders character Lauren Branning had a quiet life.

Over the past five years her character has gone through some pretty dramatic storylines such as alcoholism, an engagement, her best friend being murdered, and having an affair with a married man.

EastEnders' Ben Hardy bows out of the soap as market stall trader Peter Beale along with Lauren Branning - 24 February 2015.

As Lauren in EastEnders.

Speaking on ITV's Loose Women today, she said: "I get so bored when she's happy because it's boring! I like crying, I like screaming. I get so excited when I read there's a punch. I'm like, Please let me do it! I get so excited."

When asked if she does her own stunts, she replied: "I have asked before! Not actually punching someone but climbing, jumping. It's a lot easier than pretending to climb and jump!"

Jacqueline, 23, has been on maternity leave since last year, when she gave birth to daughter Ella, her first child with fiance Dan Osborne.

Little Ella, one, was at the studios with her famous mum today.

Jac was also asked if she's stayed in touch with co-star Ben Hardy, who played Peter Beale. He has quit the soap and is now in Hollywood working on the new X-Men movie.

"No, not really," said Jac. "It's really weird because when you're in there, in the whole EastEnders bubble, you're best friends with these people. As soon as you come out, you get back to your normal life. It's kind of sad because when I had my last scenes with him, I thought I will probably never see you again, and I haven't."
