TOWIE star Jon Clark has admitted he is "not ready to date again" following his split with ex-fiancée Hannah Elizabeth.

Jon had starred on ITV2's Love Island last summer and his whirlwind romance with glamour model Hannah had us all hooked. He even proposed to Hannah onscreen and the pair had seemed nothing but smitten with each other.

However, things didn't work out between the former couple and the pair split in October last year. At the time, Jon said he was "gutted" things hadn't worked out for them and speaking to Reveal recently, he revealed his break up with Hannah was "awful."

Jon claimed: "My break up with Hannah was awful. A lot happened that people don't know about, but it is what it is... I need to focus on myself."

At the time of their split, reports revealed the pair had been constantly arguing and finally decided to call off their engagement on a make or break holiday to Spain after more rows.

In the weeks that followed, Hannah spoke to us about the split, revealing what had happened overseas.

She told Reveal: "We just had a stupid, drunken argument one evening because I wanted to stay out and he wanted to go home. Jon got in a taxi without me and went back to the hotel, but things got worse the next morning when he said some really nasty things about my glamour modelling.

"He'd always made out it was okay, but that morning he threw it back in my face saying, 'Go get your t*ts out, that's all you're good for,'"

Hannah then went on to question Jon's feelings for her. She added: "I'm really shocked and confused by how he's acted because in the villa he was so lovely and I genuinely thought I was going to marry him... I'm now thinking it was all an act on his behalf. What's breaking my heart is that he's not bothered."

Jon, meanwhile, said of the pair's break up: "I don't feel like the way I have been portrayed is the way it has been. In a relationship people say horrible things to each other. It is what it is and I'm not going to lie I regret things that I have said to her because they were not nice."

He then added: "I'm gutted that we broke up and I'm still gutted about the whole situation, but she seems to be moving on now. She's happy and I'm trying to make myself happy as well."

Now, Jon (who has joined TOWIE alongside his younger brother Chris Clark) is taking a break from romance. He told us recently: "I'm always up for a laugh, but I'm not ready to date again."

If he was to, though, there is one certain co-star who has caught his eye, Chloe Sims. Jon admitted he has taken a liking to Chloe, but proving he's not rushing into anything this time round, the cheeky Essex boy joked: "Engagements are so 2015."
