They were brought it to replace Dermot O'Leary in the last series, but both confirmed last month that they would be stepping down from their roles.
While Olly said he wants to focus on his music, Caroline didn't give a reason but said she had a "brilliant time" working on the show.
"I wasn't surprised but maybe disappointed because I quite liked Olly and Caroline," Sinitta tells us. "I don't know why some people didn't like it. I thought they were cute together.
"I thought it was fresh, different and the fact that they know each other so well came across well too. If there was any mishaps or confusion they were able to steer each other and help each other out."
Sinitta, who is helping to launch a nationwide competition to find the new voice of McVitie's chocolate bar Trio next week, adds: "Also, they know the show well what with Olly being a contestant, and him and Caroline doing Xtra Factor before. I thought it worked but that's just me."
After Olly and Caroline both announced they would not be returning to the show, a report claimed Dermot was being lured back in a mega three-year deal.
