Naomi revealed her intention to pull out of the revamped reality series, which aired on ITV2 last summer, to fans via Twitter this week.
She tweeted: "Welllll just found an email I wrote to ITV producers pulling out of Love Island two days before I was due to fly... [sic]"
Sharing a screenshot of part of the email she had sent to producers, it had read: "Plus I'm concerned with how I would come across because I know the way that the editing will go on my intro piece and I don't want everyone who's ever known me to to think I'm some sort of arrogant man-eating bitch... I know this is such short notice."

Fans commented on the post, saying the show "wouldn't have been the same" without her.
Naomi was a late arrival on the show, and her stay in the villa was also pretty controversial. She famously clashed with Jessica Hayes over Joshua Ritchie and Max Morley, and was accused of leading them both on.
Following her exit, Naomi told Reveal: "I played it in there how I would on the outside. I always like to have a bit of intrigue and a bit of mystery, but I think that came across as me being stand-offish and calculating.
"I think the public always like an underdog and I was kind of the pantomime villain in this whole situation, I'm still not entirely sure what I did wrong, but I think Jess has come out of it a lot better than I have."
