Well there's no denying the chemistry between the Judge Geordie presenters, and it sounds like the show's bosses were keen to prevent things getting complicated between the pair. They did have to spend a lot of time together in a small car after all.
In an extract from Vick's updated autobiography obtained by The Sun she says: "Everyone sat there and said, 'The chemistry between you two is amazing. We love it. But you must never, ever shag each other.'"
Apparently this didn't go down too well with Alex, who hadn't even been told if he'd got the job as Vicky's co-star at that point - yet was still being warned off her!
Alex demanded to be told if he'd landed the Judge Geordie gig, because if not he had plans to go against orders. Vicky quoted him as saying: "Because if I haven't I'm taking her round the back of this restaurant and I'm going to b*** her head off'."
Woah! That's one way to get a direct response from an interviewer.
Although she claims MTV tried to prevent any romance between Vicky and Alex, that hasn't stopped their feelings for each other making things a bit confusing...
Discussing their relationship with The Daily Star, Vicky confessed she'd "love" to date Alex: "I have no love life. I am crap with men. I would love to have a boyfriend. I would love to go out with Alex, but he disagrees."
She explained: "I think he sees me more like a little sister."
Vicky has also said previously that she would hate to ruin her friendship with Alex by dating him and reiterating that, the 28-year-old added: "We're so close as friends and we'll do anything for each other."
"I don't want to mess it up with him," she added. "I love him. He's my dream guy... at least when Judge Geordie comes back I get to sit next to him 24 hours a day."
Oh, and then they went out for a Valentine's Day meal together, but Vicky has insisted it wasn't a romantic date night.
