It's believed the incident occurred in January and Charlotte was stopped by police, after being spotted 'driving erratically' in her Range Rover following a night out in Newcastle.
Charlotte (who is currently in Sydney on a PA tour and Geordie Shore promo) is reportedly due to appear in court later this month.
According to The Sun, a source has revealed that Geordie Shore bosses are "livid" with Charlotte.
They told the paper: "[Charlotte] is devastated. Her bosses at Geordie Shore are absolutely livid with her. She'd been due to film with them the next day."
A friend of the reality star also adds: "In recent years Charlotte has tried to put the worst of her mistakes behind her and has managed to really win people over. Now everything she has achieved could be in jeopardy."
It's said Charlotte is hoping to move on from the incident "as quickly as possible."
If Charlotte has been charged with drink-driving, it will be for the second time.
She previously faced an eighteen month driving ban, after admitting to driving while being over the legal limit back in 2012. At the time, she had apologised insisting it was 'stupid and reckless' of her and it 'wouldn't happen again.'
Charlotte hasn't publicly addressed the reports, but Northumbria Police are said to have confirmed 'a 25-year-old woman has been charged with driving a motor vehicle while over the legal limit.'
Reveal has contacted MTV. A representative for Charlotte had no comment to make.
