Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has appeared to confirm it was One Direction's Liam Payne in her 'mystery man' Instagram post.

Earlier today, Cheryl got fans talking by posing for a selfie with a male companion and then cropping him out of view when she uploaded it to social media.

While she tried to keep us all guessing, many of her followers were quick to presume the guy with his arm wrapped around her was Liam - after rumours have been doing the rounds that they are now dating. Now, Cheryl has shared a second snap and it seems like those that guessed Liam were right on the money...

Taking to her Instagram page for the second time, Cheryl is pictured standing in front of three guys (including Liam) with a cheeky smile on her face and her arms up in the air.

Referring to her earlier post, she teased: "My mystery man line up #whosthemysteryman #whoisit #whosworthit."

Liam's jumper seemed to give the answer away, as fans pointed out that it was the same colour as the sleeve pictured in Chezza's previous picture. Great detective work.

And just in case we needed any more clarification, Liam has since shared another selfie with his rumoured new girlfriend, cosying up to each other in the car.

There's no denying who they both are in that one! Can we take that as confirmation they are now an item, then?

Cheryl and Liam's snaps come after reports revealed they are romantically linked.

It's believed the pair started dating back in December, following Cheryl's split with her husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

Liam appeared to confirm he and Cheryl are a couple recently, sharing a photo that showed him shirtless and cuddling up to the X Factor judge on Instagram. He had put the picture as his profile photo and sent fans into a frenzy when he replaced it with a solo selfie earlier this week.

Many took Liam's actions to mean the pair had split, although their latest photos have proven that is definitely not the case.

Cheryl, meanwhile, appeared to hit back at trolls criticising her romance with Liam. According to The Sun, she briefly changed her bio on the photo-sharing app to say: "When people hate on you, it's because you've got something they want. All love. Good vibes only."

Neither she or Liam have publicly spoken about their relationship status. Although, all these new snaps are making us think things are definitely hotting up between them!
