Carol's mother Nanny Pat - real name Patricia Brooker - sadly passed away in December at the age of 80 and tributes poured in for the legendary star who was loved by all cast, crew and fans of the show.
On Sunday's episode, Carol is consoled by best friend Debbie as she comes to terms with the loss of her mother.
The pair also make a toast to a bench in tribute to Nanny Pat, which leads with the quote: "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."
Carol said in an interview on Loose Women this week that "it's been really hard" filming without her mother.
She explained: "The first time was really hard and weird but you just have to go on. She was a lovely lady, the kindest lady you could ever meet, she had time for everybody. It's really hard losing your mum, like having your umbilical cord cut. You lose this attachment."
The new series of TOWIE airs on Sunday 28 February at 10pm on ITVBe.
