Earlier this month, Danni and Pete headed overseas with a slew of their co-stars to kick off TOWIE's brand new series and it seems like they were right at the centre of all the drama, as the pair found themselves coming to blows.
Pictures had surfaced of Danni and Pete having a heated row, but she was quick to reassure us things were "cool" between the co-stars. Danni then later revealed Pete had made a comment that got her back up and speaking exclusively to Reveal, the duo have now given us a breakdown of exactly what happened.
After splitting with her ex-boyfriend James Lock during the last series of TOWIE, Gran Canaria was the first time Danni came face-to-face with Lockie for quite some time.
Things have stayed amicable between the pair and Danni and Lockie very much still get on, but she admits filming with her ex-beau wasn't as easy as she first expected - especially when she had to deal with seeing Lockie and other girls.
The group had been joined by two new faces, Chloe Meadows and Courtney Green in Gran Can and seeing James introduce himself to the newcomers made Danielle feel a little bit weird - not that she wanted to admit that and by putting her guard up, she found herself clashing with Lockie's best pal Pete.
Danni explained: "Me, Chloe, James and Pete were having a conversation and James went over to the new girls. Pete asked me how does that make me feel and, as a girl, I just thought, 'If they're going to watch this I need to make it seem like I'm not bothered by them.' I put on a bit of a front, but deep down I was probably thinking they are quite hot, James might fancy them.
"I said [to Pete] if I wanted him back, I could, and clicked my fingers, but Pete took it the wrong way and thought I was mugging James off and saying if I wanted to have him back tomorrow, I could, but I don't. I didn't mean it like that."
Pete then told us: "Lockie is my pal, so I got defensive. I'm really close with Danielle and that was my problem, I didn't like [what she was saying]. At the end of the day, both [Lockie and Danielle] have been saying, and it's quite apparent, that they are better off apart, but that doesn't mean they don't love each other, it's just they're in a better place when they're not together.
"For her to be saying what she did, I thought, 'Well, hold on', and she jumped down my throat. But I love Danielle to bits, she's as good as gold."
We'll get to see all the action unfold when TOWIE returns to our screens this Sunday 28 February at 10pm on ITVBe.
