TOWIE's Danielle Armstrong has cleared up what happened in her heated discussion with Pete Wicks in Gran Canaria.

Pictures emerged of Danielle and Pete in filming on the holiday island last week and it looked like they were exchanging words.

In a preview clip of TOWIE shown on Good Morning Britain, Danielle tells Pete: "Do yourself a favour, don't wind me up. Don't sit and say to me that I'm mugging him off because I'm not mugging him off."

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Pete said: "We're friends, we've made up. She's too frightening for me to keep a grudge!"

Danielle said: "Never start on a woman when she's in a bit of an emotional..." ,but Pete interrupted: "I didn't start on you."

Danielle explained: "This is the first time that we've started filming and me and my ex-boyfriend (James 'Lockie' Lock) have not been together, so to kind of watch him go over to other girls and there's new girls on the show was a little bit more difficult that I thought, and Pete made a little bit of a comment that got my back up, shall we say."

We are a little confused though. When the pictures first emerged, a source told us: "Danielle and Lockie are going through the moving on process and Pete seemed to be sticking up for Lockie. [Pete was] encouraging Lockie to move on but Danielle got upset."

But Danielle later told us via Twitter: "Your insider was wrong... @P_Wicks01 reacted to something I said and took it the wrong way we are cool now."

Either way, we're glad they're friends now!

The new series of TOWIE airs on Sunday 28 February at 10pm on ITVBe.
