TOWIE's Tommy Mallet has said Ferne McCann got a stint on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! because she 's known for being a "sh*t stirrer".

Tommy spoke about his former co-star Ferne, who will not feature in the brand new series of TOWIE after deciding to take a break from the show.

Ferne came in third place on I'm A Celebrity.

Speaking to our colleagues over at Digital Spy, Tommy said: "Ferne got on I'm a Celebrity because she's a sh*t-stirrer. Georgia's not a sh*t-stirrer.

"I'm here for Georgia. I do like doing TOWIE but I've done what I've had to do now. I'm only here for Georgia."

Tommy's girlfriend Georgia Kousoulou said viewers would probably miss Ferne's "antics" on the show, and Tommy added: "She is funny. She's done well - it's good to see people from our show do well."

But would Tommy and Georgia like to do other shows apart from TOWIE?

Well, Georgia has admitted that she wouldn't mind doing some presenting, similar to Ferne's regular showbiz segments on This Morning.

Georgia said: "Watching Ferne, I do think it's a possibility, [but] you can only get offers if you leave."

Ferne announced her TOWIE exit earlier this month, saying she'd been really busy since doing her stint in the jungle on I'm A Celebrity.

"Many of you have been wondering if I will be returning back to Essex after my adventure Down Under," she told fans in a video message. "I have been super busy since I've been back from Australia, which means you won't be seeing as much of [me] on The Only Way Is Essex."

She also joked: "You might enjoy the break! However, if any of my friends ever need me or need my advice I will make sure I am back to Essex to help them."

The new series of The Only Way Is Essex starts on Sunday 28 February at 10pm on ITVBe.
