There have been PLENTY of rumours about the TOWIE guys since the show started back in 2010. Many of which have caused major rows and tension in the programme.

Ahead of the 17th series starting this weekend, the Essex gang have been sharing the biggest untruths they've ever heard about themselves over the years...

Chloe Sims:

"It was probably during the Sam and Joey business, and with Ferne and Charlie, as I was perceived to be very interfering in both cases. The public really believed that I was meddling in both relationships. I do miss having family on hte show as we were like a little squad, but it's definitely less stressful."

Tommy Mallet:

"That I cheated on Georgia. It went on for a whole series."

Dan Edgar:

"People say I have no personality and that I'm boring because I think when I first came onto the show I didn't talk a lot. I don't think that's true. I think since Kate has come on, I've been more comfortable and people have seen more of me."

Chloe Lewis:

"That me and Jake were playing a game. We had that a lot. I was thinking, 'God, I wish it was a game.' People thought we were actually happy behind closed doors and that really hurt as that wasn't the case at all."

Bobby Cole Norris:

"I've been asked a couple of times if I'm really gay, as if I have got a wife and kids at home and i'm putting it on for the show! And some people say, 'What's your name in real life?'"

Danielle Armstrong:

"Someone said that I love myself. Or when Vas said I didn't know anything about fashion. I've done a fashion degree!"

Billie Faiers:

"There was a story saying I was going to Vegas to party with Chalrie Sheen - that was very random!"

"That I work for British Gas! A lot of people seem to think I work there. People write, 'Diags, who worked for British Gas.' I've never worked there in my life."

TOWIE returns to ITVBe for its 17th series on Sunday at 10pm.
