But what's the secret to its success? Ahead of Sunday night's brand new episode, the cast share their thoughts...
"I think the fact that it's filmed and shown to the public within three days people love as it's so current. Everyone can relate to someone in the cast - you might have been cheated on, fallen out with your friends, have weight problems etc."
"It's very real and relatable. At the end of the day, it's our real lives and the dramas that go on within them. Essex is such a bubble and it's a really unique place - people are fascinated by the way we live our lives."
"It's very much reality and it's what's actually going on in our lives. I definitely think young girls relate to what they see - I've had a lot of people watch my relationship with Jake and write to me saying they're in the same situation."
"Me being in it!"
"When the show first started, we were walking into the unknown and were totally ourselves. We thought that was normal but the rest of the nation seemingly didn't! And then I think at first people were shocked by us but then they fell in love with the realness of the characters."
"Me! It couldn't survive without me!"
"We are like a family and as much as we might argue, we know we'll all be alright. There's always a drama, there's always gossip, and there's always something new going on."
Bobby Cole Norris:
"We're the original reality show. We're still rocking it. We have the tightest turn around so we are the most real."
