According to a new report, the former host of the ITV talent show will return later this year in another huge shake-up following Caroline Flack and Olly Murs' departure.
Dermot has apparently agreed to go back to the show under a three-year contract.
An insider told The Sun: "Dermot will come back to The X Factor. Talks are under way on his deal but everything is positive. Everyone, including Dermot and Simon, has the will to make it work."
Last year's show was co-hosted by Caroline and Olly, but this week, both presenters announced they would't be returning. While Olly said he wants to focus on his music, his co-host and best pal Caroline didn't give a reason for her decision to leave but said she had a "brilliant time" working on the show.
Olly and Caroline, who were former Xtra Factor hosts, had been brought in to replace Dermot who stepped down after eight years fronting the show.
But with this latest report, will we see the return of Dermot? And if so, will we see the Dermot Dance again?!
An X Factor spokesman said: "Discussions are ongoing about the new series. Details will be announced in due course."
