The reality star had been playing Essex Fourplay on the show's official website, which challenges the cast to answer three out of four questions, only allowing them to pass on one.
As Lewis had already used his pass on refusing to name the most boring member of the show, he was forced to answer a viewer's question asking if he'd kissed any co-stars we didn't know about. His answer? Yes. Chloe and Kate.
That led Chloe's boyfriend Jake Hall to cryptically tweet: "Desperate times for some people I guess."
And Chloe herself said: "You have to kiss a few frogs before you find your prince."
But now a frustrated Lewis has hit out, saying it was meant to be a "silly interview" and Kate's boyfriend Dan Edgar had been with him at the time, so he hadn't obviously meant any harm. It was all in fun.
"Bunch of little girls, asked a Q in an intentionally silly interview @dan_edgar1 was standing right next to me. It was 9 years ago," he tweeted. "Am i really dragging my self back in to this childish make believe world again #onemoretime."
Perhaps it's understandable that Lewis is frustrated as he had a tough time last series when he revealed to Pete Wicks he'd kissed Jess Wright after Pete and Jess' vineyard date, and found himself a bit excluded from the gang. That was all resolved in the Essexmas episode, however, when Jess assured him no harm had been done and they'd always be friends.
