Ricky doesn't seem all that optimistic about falling head over heels with 'the one' judging by his latest tweet.
The reality star admitted he "can't see any hope" on the horizon for his own love life while celebrating his parents' own marriage milestone. Publicly wishing his 'rents a happy anniversary, Ricky wrote: "Happy anniversary to my Mum & Dad! 26 years hope you have a lovely day in Florida!"
One follower replied to him "us next", but Ricky didn't seem to agree with them, saying, "I can't see any hope for me," followed by a crying with laughter emoji.
The 25-year-old's attitude to romance comes after his split from Geordie Shore's Marnie Simpson.
His relationship with Marnie in particular seemed like the true fairytale after Ricky proposed following an intense whirlwind romance on an episode of Geordie Shore, and the pair got each other's initials tattooed.
However, after parting ways Ricky got the marking covered with a Gigi Hadid inspired design while Marnie called their relationship her "biggest mistake".
While Ricky reflects on his single status, Marnie was being romanced by Ibiza Weekender star Jordan Davies. However, he recently seemed to brush off anything serious developing, claiming his "long term goal" was to date a non-reality star.
Jordan revealed: "I was with Marnie from Geordie Shore on Valentine's Day which was really nice. We had a nice date together... I think my long term goal is to date someone who isn't on the reality scene because it's a lot to take in, the work that we do."
