Jameela Jamil lands role in US sitcom Good Place alongside Kristen Bell

TV presenter and radio host Jameela Jamil is changing career to become an actress.

The 29-year-old former T4 host revealed to fans via Instagram that she has landed a role in America starring in a new comedy series called Good Place.

An excited Jameela told fans: "Gah! So I can tell you finally that I am changing career and about to be in a comedy series by the brilliant Mike Schur, opposite Ted Danson and Kristen Bell on NBC in America and I couldn't be more excited/terrified."

It's not yet known what role Jameela will play in the sitcom.

Good Place is a 13-episode comedy about a New Jersey woman who attempts to go on a journey of self-improvement.

According to Variety, a pilot will be shot in late March and early April and the remainder of production will resume in late April ahead of its premiere.
