A string of global icons, music stars and celebrities lead the shortlist of the annual awards ceremony, often dubbed as the 'gay Oscars'.
It's a British face-off for the top music stars as Little Mix, Frank Ocean, Jess Glynne, Zayn Malik, Adele, Halsey, Sam Smith and Years & Years go head-to-head for Music Artist of the Year.
TV presenter Holly, YouTube star Zoe Sugg aka Zoella, Hollyoaks star James Sutton, actor Eddie Redmayne, singer Brian May, EastEnders star Danny Dyer, food writer Nigella Lawson, and actress Kim Cattrall have all made the shortlist for the Straight Ally gong.
Meanwhile, Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Caitlyn Jenner and US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton have been recognised for their work to promote LGBT acceptance.
Elsewhere, Eastenders, Hollyoaks and BBC transgender comedy series Boy Meets Girl have made the shortlist for the Media Moment of the Year award.
The Royal Bank of Scotland British LGBT Awards shortlist celebrates individuals and organisations who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to, and rewards achievement in the LGBT community.
Sarah Garrett, British LGBT Awards founder, said: "The 2016 shortlist showcases a huge range of LGBT celebrities and famous straight allies who are doing wonderful things for and on behalf of the LGBT community."
The awards will take place at London's Grand Connaught Rooms on 13 May.
