Jess, who has been an original on The Only Way Is Essex since it first aired back in 2010, announced the news via a short video shared by ITVBe's official Twitter account.
She reassured fans that despite her exit they will still be seeing her soon, telling them she has had five "amazing" years on the show.
Jessica said: "Hi everyone, I just want to let you all personally know that after five amazing years on The Only Way Is Essex it is time for me to step away.
"I've had the best time and I want to say thank you all so much for your support, you will be seeing me soon and I'm also going to be keeping up with all the goss in Essex. Love you all lots."
Jessica's exit comes seven months after she denied rumours she was quitting TOWIE.
Back in July last year, Jess had dismissed such claims, insisting at the time that she wasn't going anywhere just yet.
She said: "It's just rumours. I'm happy at the minute with things and how they're going. I think you can never tell with the future. If something was to come up that would take me away from TOWIE, then who knows. But at the minute there's not."
Sadly for us, though, it seems one more series and a Christmas special later the 30-year-old has now decided it's time for her to go.
Jess isn't the only one to bid TOWIE goodbye ahead of the new series, as Ferne McCann confirmed her exit last month.
Instead, TOWIE will now welcome two new faces to the show, Megan McKenna's BFF Chloe Meadows and her pal Courtney Green.
