TOWIE star Arg has been drafted in as a replacement for Linford Christie, who bowed out of the Channel 4 winter sports show last night following a hamstring injury.

Arg, who was eliminated last weekend, is elated to be returning to the slopes of Innsbruck, Austria, saying: "The legend @ChristieLinford has passed on the Baton to me & I can proudly confirm Im returning to #TheJump @Channel4 IM BACK BABY!"
He also added #Pray4Arg, perhaps alluding to the five injuries sustained by celebrities on the show so far. He's hoping this "second chance" will allow him to show the viewers what he can really do.
This series of The Jump has seen five celebrities quit so far: Olympians Rebecca Adlington and Beth Tweddle, actress Tina Hobley, Made In Chelsea star Mark-Francis Vandelli and now, Linford Christie.
After concern from viewers about the safety of the show, Channel 4 released a statement saying: "All winter sports carry some element of risk but in light of the number of injuries this year, Channel 4 asked producers to review safety procedures again. Whilst we are satisfied they, of course, meet safety standards, additional precautions like extra crash pads and simplification of some courses will be used."
