The cast of Geordie Shore will be going head-to-head for the show's five year special.

Over the last couple of weeks, pictures have surfaced of our Geordie faves and a slew of ex-castmates tearing up the 'Toon in a number of questionable fancy dress outfits.

While MTV is keeping quiet on any details of the spinoff series so far, it seems an insider has given away a few things to The Daily Star...

They told the paper: "All is forgiven and the whole cast is back in the Toon for a special series where they battle it out with the newbies to prove who's best."

The source added: "They are being thrown a series of challenges like hosting the best and most outrageous party under the watchful eye of Anna The Boss and who can get the most fans out with them at any one time."

Oh, this is going to be good!

Fans had speculated that something exciting was going on after Sophie Kasaei was seen partying with Charlotte Crosby, Holly Hagan and Gaz Beadle and co again. She had originally left the show two years ago.

Then, James Tindale, Kyle Christie, Jay Gardner and Ricci Guarnaccio were pictured with the current Geordie Shore boys, suggesting they'll be back in action for the special too.

James and Jay were both original castmates and started out on Geordie Shore when it first aired back in 2011. While Jay quit after three series, James decided to leave at the beginning of series 10.

Daniel Thomas-Tuck is also back for one last stint in the mad house too. He originally joined the show alongside Scotty T in series four.

One familiar face that has been noticeably absent, however, is Vicky Pattison.

It seems like the I'm A Celebrity winner has decided not to venture back into the Geordie Shore house to mark the milestone, focusing on her solo career instead. Sob.

Greg Lake (series one) and Rebecca Walker (series two-three) have not returned either.
