Stephanie Davis has said music is "everything" to her and she's hoping to release two self-penned tracks later this year.

The former Hollyoaks actress spoke about her passion for singing in the Celebrity Big Brother house and memorably performed Amy Winehouse's 'Valerie' in the house talent show.

Speaking on ITV's Loose Women today, she said: "Music is my everything, it has always been my number one priority. I wrote two tracks to hopefully bring out this year which are really, really good."

Laughing, she added: "One is about boys!"

Fans of Stephanie, 22, already knew that she's passionate about singing. After all, she got her big break in the BBC One show Over The Rainbow which televised the search for a new Dorothy to join Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical of The Wizard of Oz.

Stephanie started singing at the age of six and has said she would like to pursue a singing career. The bio on her Twitter account reads: "Write, Sing, Play, Live and Breathe music."

During CBB, her official Twitter account shared a link to a video on her YouTube channel (@Missstephieann) showing Stephanie playing the piano while singing a song called 'Big Girl'. The caption read: "1st draft of one of Stephanie's songs from a couple of years ago. Hope you like it."
