The former Hollyoaks actress, 22, was the most talked about contestant this series after entering the house with a boyfriend, Sam Reece, but then falling for housemate Jeremy McConnell.
Viewers watched as she expressed confusion about her situation, insisted she was going to marry Sam, and told everyone her relationship with Jeremy was just platonic.
But appearing on ITV's Loose Women today, she said the fact she "wasn't being honest with herself" probably contributed to the boos heard when her name was called out on eviction nights.
"I wasn't being honest with myself. I am always just worried about hurting anyone, I would rather hurt myself. I was watching it back and thought, 'Just say it!' I was the only person in denial, it was just me, everyone else knew. I couldn't fight it anymore. I realised that's the sort of bloke I wanted to be with."
She said that denial was also the factor behind some of her explosive rows and moments in the house, including one where she was kept in a separate bedroom overnight to calm down.
"It was frustration. I had a lot of time to think in the house and I got angry with the whole situation. I got angry I stayed with Sam, and of being taken advantage of and not really being loved for me."
Sam, 23, has yet to respond to her claims on the show, apart from denying her accusation that he cheated on her.
