'Body On Me' singer Rita actually made her talent show debut on The Voice, joining the celebrity coaching panel alongside Ricky Wilson, Tom Jones and will.i.am. She starred on the show for one series, before leaving to become a judge on The X Factor.
Now, however, it seems Rita could be returning to her roots and, as The Voice prepares to jump ship to ITV, it could see the starlet return to her spinning red chair.
According to The Daily Star on Sunday, Rita is being sought after by producers on The Voice.
A source told the paper: "Rita is one of the hottest properties in entertainment so it is no surprise The Voice producers want her back."
"They were devastated when she moved to X Factor last year," the source added. "But now it looks like she won't be doing the next series, it means they've got a chance of poaching her.'
They went onto claim Rita is keen to return to The Voice after viewing ratings for The X Factor slipped last series.
However an ITV spokesperson has since told The Metro, so far no decision has been made.
They said: "No discussions have taken place about the panel for this year's X Factor and the panel will not be confirmed for some months."
Rita first made her debut on The Voice back in 2014, replacing Kylie Minogue. At the time of her addition, she revealed she had to be persuaded to sign up as a coach for the show, as she'd previously had reservations.
Rita told Reveal: "When I first thought about doing it, it's something that I had to speak to Will about first as I wasn't sure I wanted to take that pressure on and be responsible. But then, I said to myself, if I can find it in me to help someone then I want that, I want to do that because somebody did that for me."
She only lasted one series on the show, jumping ship to join Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Nick Grimshaw on The X Factor last year.
Rita went on to win the talent show with her act, 18-year-old Louisa Johnson.
