Following reports suggesting the Chelsea boy has called it a day when it comes to the E4 reality show, a representative for Spencer has now confirmed he will no longer be appearing on MIC.
In fact, his exit had actually been finalised when rumours of Spencer leaving first surfaced back in November. They told us: "Spencer left MIC on 16th November 2015."
Three months ago, Spencer had hinted he would no longer be stirring up trouble in SW3, prior to his appearance on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
At the time, Chelsea's resident lothario had said he was planning solo projects for 2016 and ruled out a return to MIC.
Spencer told The Mirror: "Made In Chelsea is no longer challenging to me. I don't get the excitement that the new cast experience when they come in and film for the first time."
"I'll help them out. I'm not saying I won't, but I'm not looking to go back to Made In Chelsea as a cast member again," he claimed.
Confirmation of his exit comes after reports Spencer has left recently re-surfaced. As filming begins for Made In Chelsea's next series, a source revealed to The Daily Star: "Spencer won't return for the next series of Made In Chelsea which has just started filming."
"It's a massive loss to the E4 show because Spencer is undoubtedly its biggest and best-known character," they added. "Viewers just love to hate him."
So, it's official. There'll be no more Spenny on our screens. Anyone else feeling pretty gutted?
For five years running, Spencer and his wandering eye had us entertained thanks to his turbulent love life. From chasing Caggie Dunlop in series one while still dating Funda (we're still rooting for Cags and her pug, you?) to Spencer ruthlessly playing away from Stephanie Pratt, Lucy Watson and Louise Thompson - and then all three exes taking it upon themselves to warn off any future girlfriend of Spenny's.
And who could forget that oh-so-awkward break up scene by the river with Louise? That will never be outdone.
We thought that he had been tamed for good, after Spencer seemed to settle down with girlfriend Lauren Hutton, but after they split he was right back to his womanising ways and poor Ollie Locke had to suffer the consequences.
Still, we could almost (we said almost!) forgive him thanks to his wicked sense of humour and that bromance with Jamie Laing.
Oh, Spenny. You will be missed.
