The EastEnders actress told Fabulous magazine that she hates the 'Poor Jacqueline!' comments she can receive, saying she's loving life as fiancee to former TOWIE star Dan Osborne and mother to daughter Ella, one.
Jacqueline, 23, said she's tired of people having an opinion on her relationship with Dan, who was was accused last year of being being verbally abusive to his ex-girlfriend, the mother of his son Teddy, during a leaked phone call.
But speaking to Fabulous, actress Jacqueline said: "It's the pity that gets to me. I'm like: 'Why is everyone feeling sorry for me?' I don't want anyone thinking: 'Oh, poor Jacqueline.'
"I hate people thinking about me as a girl who depends on someone else, that my life is being ruined and I'm this devastated human being. That is just not the case. I'm happy, I'm content, I'm comfortable. I'm independent, I pay my own way and I'm a lot stronger than people give me credit for."
The star - who is currently on maternity leave from playing Lauren Branning in EastEnders - added that she feels certain people are out to get her and Dan,
"Daniel has made mistakes and people are just never going to let that go. He's apologised for whatever happened, but I think people are just going to continue – and all because once upon a time he said something he shouldn't have, and now it's game over and everything he does is wrong.
"It's not fair and he's not at all that person – if he was, I wouldn't be with him! But we have to laugh about it."
That all echoes what Jacqueline said in July last year, shortly following her romantic engagement to Dan, who popped the question during a family holiday abroad. She had tweeted: "Happy and in love, amazing family and I'm getting married."
Jac gave birth to Ella in February 2015.
